The current Staff members of Beaconsfield are:

Hi! I’m Kath. I have been working at Beaconsfield as a sessional worker for the last seven years doing Stress Management and Relaxation. I have been a Support Worker for the last year, here at Beaconsfield. My interests are early fifties Rock and Roll music and any kind of dancing. I love any kind of music but best of all, I love my two dogs! I love a good night out with the girls on a weekend.

Hi, my name is Robert Gill. I am the Centre Manager and have worked for Durham Social Services since 1995 after completing a DipSW and Degree in Social Work Studies.  I took up this post in January 2004 - it's a new challenge but one which I will enjoy.  Outside of work I enjoy sport, particularly football and cricket -  I am a keen Newcastle United fan.  I also enjoy the cinema and go most weeks and the theatre when I can afford it!

My name is Susan. I am a Support Worker here at Beaconsfield. I have been here for 10 years now and almost feel part of the furniture. I have a keen interest in shopping so every day I try to get a trip to Asda in!  At work my job is varied, I like one to one behavioural work with Clients and it's nice to see an improvement in people.

Away from work I am a real Animal Lover.  I have a Border Collie and 4 cats, whom I absolutely adore and they are ruined. They even have parties on their birthdays.  Now how sad is that!!.

Hello, I'm, Trish. The Art Therapy service at Beaconsfield is non - directive and client centered, as well as some one to one sessions, I run an open group in which clients are free to come and work with the materials available. I am able to offer a wide range of technical help and give encouragement in the use of art and craft materials. Clients work is treated with respect and stored in folders or displayed in the department or centre. The ongoing and resulting art work may be used as a therapeutic tool forming the focal point for communicating with the client.

Clients have chosen to work with acrylic and water paints, pastel, crayon, charcoal, pen and ink, china painting, fabric painting, stenciling, salt dough and clay.

Hi! I’m Hazel, I am the Administrator for Beaconsfield and work here after being transferred from a Youth Justice Team. I love working here and find the atmosphere is so ‘laid back’ and staff and clients very easy to get on with. I cover the reception desk and all the other admin jobs which come my way (including the boring ones).

I’m the old lady of the team at 60. I’m married and have five grown up children and eight grandchildren.  We also foster children for Foster Care Association North East.

I love antique fairs, auctions, days at the races, reading, good food and eating out.
